Toronto Food Drive

Winter means warm food for everyone. Re-Defined’s Toronto team went on a food drive in Downtown Toronto on February 12th to donate food packages to the public. We were able to distribute 100 packages in under two hours thanks to our Volunteers and crew.

The goal of the campaign was to feed the poor while also sharing love and joy. In exchange, we received hundreds of blessings and smiles, and we created many memories that will last a lifetime.

Vivek and Avneet described how this drive enabled them to make connections and meet people they would never have met otherwise. Furthermore, they emphasized the necessity of making connections that are mutual rather than transactional, which was their primary motivation for joining the drive. Vivek added that he was astounded to discover how not just the elderly and solitary people, but also children and families, might be homeless and without shelter. After speaking with someone, Avneet described how crucial it is to understand the tax system and the way government works.

Avneet also described how the food packets, which contained fruits and bars, were intentionally designed so that no one could sell them to acquire dangerous items. As a result, it aided in achieving the drive's goal. Furthermore, according to Avneet, a few people refused the goods. Five persons denied the packages for various reasons, including a lack of trust or the perception that we were invading their personal space. This was somewhat upsetting for our volunteers, but they did not give up.

We thank all the donors and volunteers for taking time out of their busy schedules to help make the drive a success!

Spread love, warmth, and food this winter season with Re-Defined. Join us in making a difference, one package at a time.
